First-year and early transfer students
Undergraduate Academic Advisors work with new students who have enrolled at »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË as first-year students (directly from high school) or early transfer students who have completed less than 40 college units. Together, they:
- review transfer credit, if applicable
- create an academic plan for each semester up to graduation
- review course availability, select courses, and build the student’s schedule for the semester ahead
- explore majors and post-graduation options and goals
- connect with other campus offices to ensure student wellness and success
Continuing and transfer students
Faculty mentors work with continuing and transfer students who have completed more than 40 units. Together, they:
- explore major program requirements
- create academic plans for progress toward graduation
- connect with research, internship, and/or project opportunities
- assist with requirements for graduate school or other post-graduation academic goals
